Just out of curiosity, I was reading about numerology. Before we go any further, let me put that I am no expert in numerology and I do not intend to demean it in any way. It's just some of the questions that came in my mind while going through the science.
Numerology depends on the relationship with numbers from 1 to 9. Each number carries certain attributes with it. There are traits associated with each number. There are numerous belief systems and numbers around this.
There is a concept of base number in numerology which means all the digits of any number is added to the point where it results in a number from 1 to 9. For example, for year 1980, sum of all digits results in 18. Further adding 1 and 8 results in 9. So for numerological purpose 9 is the number to look into.
The question that comes in mind is why number 1 to 9. Also those numbers are derived from Gregorian calendar. What about if same days are taken from other calendar system like Hindu calendars or Lunar calendar.
Also the other thing is the choice of number from 1 to 9. Those who have studied number system know that there are many other number systems like binary, octal, hexadecimal etc. It depends on the base that have been selected. Historically the decimal number system has become popular, which has a base of 10. That's why the base numbers are 1 to 9. If we take binary system, the only base number is 1. In the case of hexadecimal, the base numbers become 1 to 9, A, B, C, D, E and F. Would there is a numerological interpretations around the base numbers of hexadecimal system?
