Remarks: Mahatma Gandhi was kept under house arrest here in the 1940s. His wife, Kasturba Gandhi died here.

Remarks: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule's residence. Dates back to 1852.

Parvati Website
Location: Near Swargate (About 0.5 Km from Swargate ST stand)
Timings: 5.00 am -8.00 pm.
Remarks: 103 steps climb to reach to temple and museum.

Pataleshwar Cave
Location: Jungli Maharaj Road, Next to Jungli Maharaj Temple
Timings: 08.00 am - 5.30 pm
Remarks: 8th century cave temples.

Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum Website
Location: 1377-78, Natu Baug, Off. Bajirao Road, Shukrawar Peth, Pune - 411 002
How to Reach: Take Tilak road and take turn towards Laxmi Road at cilai showroom. Around 200 m ahead there is a right turn. Go 50 m and the museum is on your left hand side.
Remarks: The museum is collection of artifacts by Padmashree Late Dr. D.G. Kelkar (1896 -1990), also affectionately known as Kaka. The museum is a collection about 21,000 artifacts which show everyday life of India.

Shaniwarwada
Location: Shivaji Rd, Shaniwar Peth, Pune
Attraction: A sound and light show everyday excluding Tuesday.

Remarks: Built by Peshwa Baji Rao in the year 1729-30.

Shinde Chatri
Location: Wanowari Pune
Timings: 6 am - 9 pm
Remarks: Samadhi of Shrimant Mahadji Shinde. Rajasthani style architecture. Built in 1794.

Tribal Museum
Location: 28 Queens Garden, Next to Don Bosco bridge. Near the Pune main railway station.
Timings: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Remarks: It shows the lifestyle of Maharashtra tribal communities mainly belonging to the Sahyadri and Gondhvana regions.

Approach:

• From Chandni chowk take the road towards Ambrosia/Manas Lake. It's little ahead of Ambrosia. on the right hand side.
• From Pimpari Chinchwad, go to Hinjewadi. Take the road to Pirungut, which goes from next to Wipro. This takes to Pirungut chowk. Take a right towards Chandni Chowk. Konark will come on right hand side before Ambrosia.

Sinhagad or Kondhana

Location: 25 Km from Pune.

How to Reach: Buses go from Swargate S.T stand. If you are on your own vehicle take Sinhgad road which takes directly to Sinhagad.

Remarks: Formerly known as Kondhana, once being the most impregnable fort in western India. Sinhagad's literal translation is the "Fortress of the Lion". The fort was under the control of Mohammed Tughlak in 1340 A.D. to the British in 1918 A.D. Around 300 years ago Shivaji’s General Tanaji Malusare scaled this sheer precipice with ropes and giant lizards. He was killed in the battle. His memorial is also in the fort. It is a good place for a day long picnic and site seeing. The main attraction is climbing the fort on foot. Do not forget to have Jhunka Bhakri on the top.
